OWIU Design is a full service creative design office located in the heart of the burgeoning Art's District, Los Angeles. Focusing on product design, creative business branding through animation and architectural visualization, OWIU approaches every project with innovative and progressive strategies.
OWIU was founded in 2017 by two designers with strong architecture backgrounds.
Joel Wong is a designer based in Los Angeles, born and raised in Singapore, he spent two mandatory years in the Singapore military as a Chemical, Biological, Radioactive and Explosive (CBRE) defense combat engineer specialist. He pursued his bachelors degree in architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), graduating with distinction, merit thesis prize and obtaining the coveted Henry Adams prize. Joel has worked for firms such as ADDP Architects (Singapore) and also most recently for Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne of Morphosis architects.
Amanda Gunawan is a designer based in Los Angeles, born in Indonesia and raised in Singapore, she obtained her bachelors degree in architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), receiving the merit thesis prize. She has worked in numerous offices such as the Urban Redevelopment Authority in Singapore which oversees the master-planning of Singapore and more recently, for Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne of Morphosis architects. Amanda is currently heavily involved in creative content creation for multiple brands and labels in America.
