OWIU remodels Pontious Ranch House for Remi Ishizuka. Inspired by Remi Ishizuka’s background, OWIU brings Californian sensibilities and Asian minimalism to a traditional ranch house.

A neglected 1973 Ray Kappe home in La Cañada Flintridge was transformed into a serene retreat that blends Eastern and Western influences. The design integrates natural elements like water features and tatami accents, alongside custom details and artisan touches, creating a harmonious balance between the home’s legacy and its reimagined purpose as a tranquil sanctuary.

This iconic 1962 residence combines mid-century modern and Japanese-inspired design elements. Encased in lush greenery, the home balances city convenience with tranquility, featuring original brick flooring, floor-to-ceiling glass, and wood paneling. Biscuit Loft, a Japanese-inspired apartment design in Downtown LA’s burgeoning Arts District. Housed within the prestigious Biscuit Company Lofts building, the firm’s interior architecture and design has transformed a tired 1,620 sq. foot loft space into a two-bedroom urban zen hideaway.

The undulating curves enable flexibility in the amount of seats to table space ratio and beautifully blends into the space without any sharp edges.
